Lampion Festival 23. - 25. August

From the 23rd to the 25th of August, Wernigerode will shine again in the light of hundreds of handcrafted Chinese lanterns. The city invites you to the second Lampionfest to re-celebrate your twinning with Hoi-An. Chefs, artisans, artists and traders from the UNESCO World Heritage City will bring some Vietnamese flair to Wernigerode with traditional Southeast Asian food, a stage program and twinning projects. Supported by the Intercultural Network, since 2016 experts from both cities have been dealing with many topics around the training of skilled workers and the joint construction of photovoltaic systems as well as the commitment to climate protection as one of the main focuses of 2019.
